Disney Springs is a popular first stop for many vacationers on their first night in Orlando where they may not have a big dinner reservation and almost definitely don’t have a park reservation. For adult travelers without little ones the site has a long history (RIP Pleasure Island) as one of the best places to let loose with some shopping, dining, and of course, cocktail offerings for anyone from casual drinkers to learned cocktail and wine aficionados.
Here is the (almost) perfect bar crawl for your night in Disney Springs!
Stop 1: Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is a fun, aviation-themed bar named after Indiana Jones’ pilot. It’s a great place to start your crawl with some delicious drinks and small bites. Try the refreshing “Cool-Headed Monkey” or “Reggie’s Revenge” cocktails, the spirit-forward “Scottish Professor” or “Jock’s Old Fashioned.”Don’t forget to snack while you imbibe, the “Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel” is a charcuterie board but served with a giant pretzel!
Joe tip: They don’t take reservations, so get your name on the list and stay closeby, if they call your name and you’re not present, they’ll move right on! The wait is never as long as they say
Stop 2: The Edison
The Edison is a unique, steampunk-themed bar with an elegant atmosphere. Enjoy their signature “The Edison” cocktail, or try something new like the “Honey Ryder” or “Gin Mule.” The bar also serves delicious small plates, and if you’re there at the right times, live entertainment from The Pearl Street Players, singing ragtime twists on popular favorites.
Joe tip: Ask your server about the HIgh-Roller program. The Edison offers high-end cocktails around 30 dollars, every time you order one, you get a collectible coin, turn in 4 coins for your 5th high-roller cocktail free!
Stop 3: Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar
Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar is an underground speakeasy that serves up classic Italian cocktails and delicious small plates. Try the “La Fiamma” or “Negroni Sbagliato” (yes…with prosecco in it) or enjoy some pasta or meatballs while you’re there.
Joe tip: This is a great place to cool off as it’s underground and air-conditioned. They also serve seasonal specialty cocktails which you can get as a flight to try a small amount of each!
Stop 4: Raglan Road Irish Pub
Raglan Road Irish Pub is a lively spot with live music and a great selection of Irish beers and cocktails. Try the “Dublin Donkey” or the “Celtic Twilight” cocktails, or opt for a pint of Guinness. The pub also serves classic Irish dishes like fish and chips and shepherd’s pie.
Joe Tip: Raglan Road also offers live Irish music from various musicians most nights. Even if you’re moving on to the rest of your crawl, it’s a great way to end the night on a lively note. Raglan is also a criminally overlooked brunch spot. If you can’t get into Homecomin’ just go across the path for some filling, hangover-curing Irish Breakfast
Stop 5: Wine Bar George
End your crawl on a sophisticated note at Wine Bar George, which offers over 140 wines by the glass and bottle, as well as a selection of cocktails and small plates. Try a flight of wines or one of their signature cocktails like the “Frozcato” or “The Dole Whip Mimosa.”
Joe Tip: Wine Bar George offers a rare experience to pay for small pours of very high-end wines. The servers are also highly trained in helping you select the wine thats right for you. So even if wine isn’t your thing, you can trust Wine Bar George to help you expand your palate!
Honorable mentions/Quick stops
Don’t feel like sitting down or are you hesitant to commit to your next stop because you’re in a virtual queue for a giant cookie from Gideon’s Bakeshop?
Disney Springs has multiple kiosks set up along the pathways ready to serve you beer on tap, cans to go, and even cocktails. Most bars and restaurants also have quick-service options so be on the lookout if you need a road soda on the way to your next stop.
The Boathouse:
A nautical themed restaurant and bar, decent food, and if you’re looking for that adorable rubber ducky drink, “The Duck Duck Razz,” here’s where you’ll find it. This place is usually bustling quite a bit, so if you’re not looking to sit and have a bite, its best to grab your ducky, snap a pic for instagram, and move along.
City Works:
American Pub food and over 90 beers on tap with great local options from in and around Florida. Best place to grab a beer in Disney Springs. There’s rarely a wait so even if you just want to pop into the pub and try a local brew, they can likely accommodate you right away.
Polite Pig:
This one is for the strong drinkers. Polite Pig is a quick service kiosk and outdoor bar with over 90 whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches available. They serve delicious smoked barbecue, cocktails on draft and, if you’re feeling indecisive, whiskey and bourbon flights.
The Coca-Cola Rooftop Beverage Bar:
Got a particularly sweet tooth, maybe looking for some refreshing mocktails with a great view? The Coca-Cola Rooftop bar recently stopped serving beverages with alcohol, but its a great way to taste coke products from around the world, enjoy some inventive mocktails, or even have dessert with their floats and shakes.
Be sure to drink responsibly, and stay hydrated along the way, you’ve got a lot of walking around in the Florida sun to do for the rest of the week!
